Greg has over 30 years of experience in the audit profession having spent nearly 20 years as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) before joining Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC, (DOZ) in November 2020. While at PwC, Greg was the managing partner of the Indianapolis practice along with being the audit service partner on large multinational clients along with a number of smaller private companies. At PwC, Greg performed work on SEC filings, internal control audits, capital raising transactions and numerous business acquisitions and combinations. Since joining DOZ, Greg has specialized in the real estate and affordable housing industries while playing a significant role in our audit quality control organization focused on our audit methodology and GAAP compliance.
At DOZ, Greg serves as the partner for our clients managing our audit services for owners and managers of affordable housing complexes that receive financing or other subsidies from HUD, various state agencies and or equity as a result of the generation of LIHTC’s. Greg takes a great deal of pride in creating and growing strong relationships with his clients. He manages over a hundred audit and agreed upon procedure engagements for our clients with significant experience on upper-tier consolidated audits. Greg’s engagement duties include leading our planning efforts, ensuring quality in the execution of the team, reviewing deliverables, collaborating with our tax team and maintaining frequent and regular contact with our clients.
Greg significantly exceeds the required annual minimums of continuing professional education for CPA’s in public practice by obtaining pertinent education in complex accounting, auditing, and Government Auditing Standards topics. Greg leads many of our in-house continuing professional education courses for firm professionals on accounting and auditing trends and topics affecting our engagements. Greg is actively involved on campus at Indiana University periodically presenting to classrooms and business school organizations in support of our profession and careers in accounting.
